Planmeca Announces Changes to Provide Elevated Levels of Support

Bill Dowe brings 20-plus years of experience in the dental industry to his new role as Planmeca’s Director of Sales for Canada.


Dental equipment and technology leader, Planmeca takes a new strategic approach to the North American market with organizational changes to provide an elevated level of support. Planmeca has restructured its sales leadership strategy and created a new position of Director of Sales for Canada. This role allows for a direct-from-the-field approach from personal experience in the sales process and solid partnerships with selling channels. Planmeca has selected Bill Dowe for this role for the value he can bring and the transformation he can drive in the Canadian market.

Dowe has both vast commercial experience and clinical expertise. Dowe’s extensive background includes the dental laboratory market, the dental clinical sector, and, most recently, as a leading distributor’s equipment and technology sales leader. His clinical knowledge base includes Prosthetics, Orthodontics, and Implantology, as well as the business of dentistry.

The sales team for the US market will continue under the leadership of Sam Hobbs, Regional Sales Director, North, and Bill Steinitz, Regional Sales Director, South. Their longstanding expertise in dental technology and quality of stewardship will continue to grow Planmeca’s market presence as a long-term partner for advancing technology, solid dealer partnerships, post-sale support, and continuous learning opportunities.
